The Kids' Lit Quiz is a major national celebration of books and reading imported to the UK from New Zealand, which offers irresistible reading challenges, broadens awareness, is hugely motivating for boys - and, best of all, is great fun!
The Trustees of KLQ UK are looking for a volunteer NATIONAL ORGANISER to replace Jacky Atkinson who has now taken on the role of Chairman. The job entails organising the schedule of Regional Heats, in consultation with the Quizmaster, co-ordinating and supporting the 18 Regional Organisers and recruiting new ones as and when necessary; dealing with enquiries from interested schools; liaising with publishers for book prizes; liaising with the National Treasurer; helping to organise the National Final together with the Board, reporting to the Board on a regular basis; promoting the KLQ UK whenever possible; and preparing an annual report for the Trustees as required by the Charity Commission. The applicant must be willing to be DBS checked. This voluntary post will have the full support of the Board of Trustees and carries with it a small honorarium.
The Kids' Lit Quiz UK is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation run entirely by volunteers, with the principal office in England.
