The Kids' Lit Quiz World Final 2010 will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland on Saturday, 14 August 2010. It will be held in the Performing Arts Centre at Stewart's Melville College, Edinburgh from 2.00 - 5.00 pm. This event is open to the public and tickets are available from dianaesland@yahoo.co.uk - there is no charge for tickets but donations are welcome.

- Saturday 14th August
- am – preparation and rehearsal for World Final quiz
- 2.00 – 5.00 pm World Final
- 6.30 – Pre-dinner reception
- 7.00 - Gala Dinner
- Sunday 15th August
- 9.30 – 5.30 approx – Visit to New Lanark World Heritage site

- 2.00 – 2.30 Book Festival - behind the scenes tour
- 3.00 – 4.00 pm – Book Festival event: Crazy Science with Gill Arbuthnott (Gill will be one of the authors at the quiz)
- 6.00 – 7.00 pm - Lord Provost’s civic reception at the City Chambers
- Tuesday 17th August
- Free time until 4.00 NB there will be a surprise trip for the winning team in the morning
- 4.00 – 8.00 pm - Storytelling and farewell barbecue
- Wednesday 18th August
Several Scottish authors will be attending the World Final and Scotia Books will be running a bookshop on the day so there will be plenty of opportunities for book buying and signing. Lookout for a surprise guest appearance during the afternoon!
